Sectoral Expenditure: Who Buys From Whom
The Expenditure view showed world GDP's total breakdown across 6 expenditure categories (households, government, investment...). This page shows the same breakdown separately for EACH of OECD ICIO's 50 sectors - which sector's output goes directly to consumers, government, or investment, and which is almost entirely sold to other sectors (intermediate consumption).
Key finding: On average, only 15.2% of the output of the 7 raw-material sectors goes directly to the end user - the rest has to pass through the 30 transitional sectors that Layer 1's entire story rests on. You can verify this yourself using the "Raw Material" filter below.
